Rev. Leroy Cureton

October 12, 1938 — February 23, 2018

Rev. Leroy Cureton, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life to go to his Heavenly home on Friday, February 23, 2018, at his home. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Yancey Warren and Inez Robinson Cureton.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of Lincoln Street and Piedmont Manor Baptist churches.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Jean Cureton; a son, Lonell Cureton; a daughter, Tracy Dillard; a brother, Yancey Cureton; and a sister, Patricia Patterson.

Left to cherish many loving memories are seven daughters, Brenda (Terry) Hood of Indianapolis, IN, Sherry (Lamont) Miller of Piedmont, Marilyn “Pat” Bigby (James Brown), Angela Mansell (Deon) Harswell, Tina Cureton (Sydney Peralta) and Donna Johnson, all of Greenville; one son, Leroy (Barbara) Cureton, Jr.; two sisters, Frances (George) Jamison and Anna Rose Cureton, both of Greenville; one brother, Malven (Linda) Cureton of Greenville; twelve grandchildren, Teavis, Marquita (Terrell), Roshawn, Nathan, KaNiesha, Damario, Dreeke, Shupeaka, Anthony, Natalie, Nehemiah, Tanisha and Quinton; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
