Richard Hawkins

Mr. Richard Lee Hawkins of Greer, South Carolina,departed this life on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, South Carolina. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina.

Richard was a loving, caring and devoted son to Tommie Lee and Janice A. Jones Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grand-parents, Conwell and Onie Yeargin Hawkins; maternal grandparents, Leroy Calvin, Sr. and Lillie Manigault Jones; and a son, Antonio Nesbitt.

Surviving, along with his parents, are two daughters, Courtney Hawkins of Greer, SC, and Jasmine Mattison of Greenville, SC; three sons, Richard G. Hawkins and Jerrell Hawkins, both of Greer, SC, and Marcus Makins of Greenville, SC; four sisters, Shirley (Anthony) Butler, Deborah Hawkins and Lillie Hawkins, all of Greenville, SC, and Janice (Curvan) Mills of Flowery Branch, GA; two brothers, Steven Lee Hawkins of Greenville, SC, and Tommy (Wendy) Hawkins of Greer, SC; two uncles, Rev. Randolph (Marcia) Hawkins of Simpsonville, SC, and Leroy Calvin Jones; ten beautiful grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papa”; and a host of other relatives and friends.
