Mrs. Richard Lee Chaney Stokes, 97, of 208 Bridwell Avenue, Greenville, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Mountain Home Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Bonds Chaney.

Surviving: nieces; Mary Gladys of Baltimore, Mary McCullough of Greenville, Martha Watkins Gaines, Lucy Faye Sneed, Elizabeth Griggs, and Louvenia Griggs, all of Greenville, Freddie (Rufus) Morton of Atlanta, Pauline Bowens and Joan Copeland, both of Greenville: nephews; Theodore (Quinnie) Copeland of New York, Richard (Liz) Copeland of North Carolnia, William Griggs of Norfolk, VA, Robert (Ann) Copeland of New York, Frank Griggs of Greenville, Bobby Copeland of New York, John Griggs, William Fess and Anthony Copeland, both of Greenville: and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 22, 2014, 2:00 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
