Robert Lee Wakefield

Mr. Robert Lee Wakefield, 64, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Monday, January 16, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was a son of the late Lawrence Wakefield, Sr., and Mattie Bell Jenkins Wakefield.

Lee was educated in the Greenville County School System and was formerly employed by Branyon Piping Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother , Mattie Sue Jenkins,

Left to cherish many fond memories are one sister, Louise Thompson of Taylors, who assisted in raising him after his mother passed; one brother, Lawrence “June” Wakefield, Jr., of Greenville; aunts, Sarah Wakefield-Kennedy and Lula Mae Jenkins, both of Greenville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
