Mr. Robert Lee “Rob” Simmons, 78, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed Monday, May 6, 2019, at Southpointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation. He was a son of the late Queen Simmons Mars and William Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Beatrice Harper Simmons; and a sister, Emily Montgomery.
He was a member of Lincoln Street Baptist Church.
He was a retiree of the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department after 30 years of Service.
Surviving: one sister, Nancy S. (Alonzo) McGreer of Greenville, SC; two stepsisters, Penny Davis and Stephanie (Frank) Lessington, both of Bronx, NY; one brother, Eddie (Carolyn) Mars of Piedmont, SC; two stepbrothers, Murray Stenson and Edward Watson, both of Bronx, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.
