Deacon Roger Gene Owens, 76, of 108 Willowbrook Lane, Mauldin, passed on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Owens was Founder and President of Save Our Sons, Inc. and served on the Clemson City Council. He was a General Auditor at Liberty Life Insurance Company. He faithfully served as a deacon at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by a devoted wife, Dr. Emma McIntosh Owens of the home; daughter, Kimberly Owens of Greenville; son, Timothy Roger (Nicole) Owens, Esquire of Atlanta, GA; brother, Rev. James (Dorothy) Owens of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Braice Alexia Owens and Havilynn Lorraine Owens, both of the home, and Kendall Elizabeth Owens and Eryn Camille Owens, both of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
