Roland Prease

Mr. Roland Sylvester “Bud” Prease, son of the late James Cothran Prease, Jr., and Mable Dawkins Prease, was born March 21, 1940. He completed his life’s journey on March 6, 2018.

Roland served in the United States Air Force, was honorably discharged in 1968. He was an alumnus of Sterling High School and was employed as a supervisor at Facemate Corporation in Greenville, South Carolina. He was a long time member of Mountain View Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Male Adult Choir.

He was predeceased by his brothers, James Cothran Prease, III and Bobby Royce Prease; sisters, Joyce Prease Perkins and Wanda Prease Pearson.

Roland is survived by his wife, Mildred Miles Prease; two children, Roland C. Prease and Mitzi (Will) Goolsby, both of Greenville, South Carolina; two sisters: Marian Prease Franklin of Greenville, South Carolina and Janice Prease of Florence, South Carolina; a brother, Melvin (Shirley) Prease of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Cierra, Cornisha, Casten,Mia-Mariah, William, Whitni, De’Marcus; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
