Ronald Eugene Johnson was born on July 6, 1949 in Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents James Carlton and Mary (Fulton) Johnson as well as the eldest sister Betty Joyce (Johnson) Harkless.
In Ron’s later years, he moved to Jacksonville, FL and continued working with Alcoholics Anonymous, participated in activities at the Mary L. Singleton Senior Center, and volunteered at Centennial Towers Ronald Eugene Johnson took his last breath of life on October 25, 2014 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center/Riverside in Jacksonville, FL.
Ron leaves behind his family: Minister Matrulene Johnson; Matresia Sullivan; Grandchildren Cierra, Chabraya & Canishia Sullivan; Great-Grands: Chy’Lunn Sullivan-McBride, Carmen Harris and Symone Keys of Greenville, SC; Shirley (Albert) Jones, Jr. and Jonathan Jones of Jacksonville, FL; Kari-Samoya (Jonathan) Kennedy of Pasadena, CA; Annette H. Cornish of Newark, DE; Connie E. Faudie of Atlanta, GA; Melissa Austin and Deloris Berthier of Mount Vernon, NY; Edna Kilgore of Fuquay Varina, NC; as well as other relatives and friends.
While in Greenville, he was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church where Reverend Sean Dogan is pastor.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Jacksonville Fla.
