Deacon Roosevelt Williams, 82, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at McCall Hospice House. He was a son of the late Ben Franklin Williams and Nellie Mae Nesbitt Williams. He was the widower of the late Deola Pendergrass Williams.
He is survived by his four daughters, Lisa A. Williams of Greenville, SC, Linda G. Williams of the home, Leola Williams of Jonesboro, AR and Libby A. Hellams of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Broadus Nesbitt of Aurora, IL, Willie L. (Lillie) Williams of Simpsonville, SC and Eddie (Rosalind) Williams of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Hattie Mae Drummond and Mattie Williams, both of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren; Darius R. Williams of San Francisco, CA, Jody C. Hellams II of Greenville, SC, Trinity N. Williams of Jonesboro, AR and Jania L. Williams of Greenville, SC; five sisters-in-law, Christine P. Heard, Freddie Pendergrass and Elaine Williams all of Greenville, SC; Betty Ruth P. Neal of Moore, SC and Linda Pendergrass of Greer, SC; beloved nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, July 16, 2022, 11:00am, at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
