Mrs. Rosalie Lena “Patty” Johnson, 68, of 235 W. Dorchester Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She was born on May 13, 1949, in Lewes, Delaware, and was a daughter of the late Wesley C. Harmon and Helen Day.
At an early age, she joined Christ’s Non-Denominational Church in Millsboro, Delaware. She moved to Greenville in 1981, and remained there until her death.
“Patty” had a passion for gardening and shopping. After raising her three children, she found pleasure in raising her grandchildren. She absolutely loved her grands. She always placed others before herself even during her last days of life. She will always be remembered for sitting on her front porch and for her love of Pepsi.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Edward Johnson; one daughter, Angela (Alex Harper) Ellison of Greenville; two sons, James (Jacquelyn) Dixon and Mark (Georgette) Dixon , both of Greenville; one stepson, Victor (Carmen) McNair of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Lydia Seymour of Lewes, DE; one special and devoted niece, Barbara Seymour of Wilmington, DE; twelve grandchildren, Christopher (Stormi) Harmon, William Ellison, Kendra Montgomery, Jaymie Montgomery, Jamila Dixon, Jasmine (Austin) Lovell, James Dixon, III, Markisha Dixon, and Ebony Dixon, all of Greenville, Allissa McNair and Tye McNair of Florida and AJ McNair of Cleveland, OH; six great-grandchildren; a devoted friend for over 40 years, Barbara Reese; one goddaughter, Shannon Reese; and a host of other relatives and friends.
