Roy Sherman

Mr. Roy Lee Sherman, 95, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on October 3, 2016, at Greenville Rehabilitation Center. He was a son of the late Rome Westfield and Sadie Jackson Sherman.

He was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church #1. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Crosby Sherman; sister, Sally Young and brothers, Clarence Westfield, Bruce Westfield, Sr., B.F. Westfield and Raymond Sherman.

Left to cherish many fond memories are his daughters, Patricia S. (Clarence) Whittenburg of Simpsonville, Doris S. Jones of Greenville, Dorothy S. (Lon) Smith of Chatsworth, CA and Carolyn Milom of Tuckahoe, NY; son, Roy Lee (Kelli) Sherman, Jr. of Manhattan, NY; sisters, Bernice Washington, Cora Stephens and Dorothy Robertson, all of Laurens; brother, Alonza Westfield of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
