Mr. Rufus Williams, Jr., 82, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at his home. He was a son of the late Rufus Williams, Sr., and Amanda Turner Williams.
He was previously employed by J.P. Stevens and Gray Lumber Company of Waverly, Virginia. He loved and took pride in working in his garden and his lawnmower service
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Theodore Williams, Nathan Williams, Wallace Williams and Arthur Williams; a sister, Helen Williams; a nephew, Linwood Jones; a niece, Gwen Williams; and a brothers-in-law, Edward Williams and Joseph Jones.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his devoted wife, Earnestine Henderson Williams of the home; one daughter, Estelle Williams of Greenville; one son, Clarence (Patricia) Williams of Petersburg, VA; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Sealy, Brenda (Tyrone) Thompson and Jervine (Ted) Walker, all of Greenville; two stepsons, Tommy Lee (Janet) Henderson and James (Cindy) Henderson, both of Greenville; two sisters, Cora Williams and Annie Jones, both of Sussex, VA; one brother, Ray Williams of Newark, NJ; five grandchildren, Kimberely Williams-Cruell, Tanya Williams, Jacoby Williams, Clarence Williams, and Sonya Mays; one devoted great-granddaughter, Tasheika Coleman; fifteen step grandchildren; fifteen step great-grandchildren; a devoted niece, Libby Rice of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
