Russell Evans

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, Russell Timothy Evans, 57, entered into eternal rest. He was born on May 30, 1961, to the late Fletcher and Shirley Mae Gambrell Evans, in Greenville County, South Carolina.

Russell attended Greenville County Public Schools and was a 1980 graduate of Southside High School. He served three years in the U.S. Army. Russell was employed at Stryker Orthopedic Manufacturer in Mahwah, New Jersey, as a Machine Operator.

He joined Old Pilgrim Baptist Church at an early age and attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hackensack, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Evans.

The memories of “Tim” will be forever cherished in the lives and hearts of those who loved him. Russell is survived by his loving daughter, Candace T. Evans of Hollywood, CA; his fiancé, Patricia De Alba of Clifton, New Jersey; one sister, Dorothea (Richard) Henry of Piedmont, SC; one brother, Ricky (Erika) Evans of Greenville, SC; two nieces, Miyema Lee and Alyssa Evans of Greenville, South Carolina; one nephew, Brennen Evans of Greenville, South Carolina; an uncle, Charles (Martha) Gambrell of Greenville, SC; an aunt, Eunice Gambrell of Pittsburgh, PA; and a host of cousins and friends.
