Ruth Jones

Mrs. Ruth Oree Jones, 78, passed on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Greenville Health System. She was born in Spartanburg County on September 3, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Fair Young and Carrie Briggs Young.

She was a member of Peace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Rev. Ernest Jones and Willie Jones; grandson, Travis Jones and brothers, Rich H. Young, Lawrence Young, Emmett Young, Johnny Young and Kent Young.

Surviving: husband, Rufus Jones of Woodruff; daughters, Connie (Belton) Lane of Woodruff, Jeanette Jones of Greenville, Renee Jones of Greenville, Vernette Jones of Greenville, Paula Jones of Greenville, Inga Mangle-Rhinehart of Columbia, and Jackie Wright of Spartanburg; son, Bernard (Irene) Jones of Greenville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nieces, Dianne McMahan and Louise McClintock; nephews, Randy McMahan, Frank Young and Lewis Young and a host of other relatives and friends.
