Sallie Lee

Mrs. Sallie Mae Rollinson Lee, 93, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at home. Born in Bordeaux, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Austin Rollinson, Sr. and Fannie Jordan Rollinson.

She joined Allen Temple AME Church in 1957,where she served on the Stewardess Board and worked diligently in the Soup Kitchen for numerous years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee, Sr.; one daughter, Mary Ellen Lee Jones and three sons, John Fitzgerald Lee, James Ernest Lee and Gary Austin Lee.

Left to cherish many fond memories are four daughters, Gloria A. (Manuel) Anderson of Greenville, Sallie J. (LeRoy) Griffin of Anderson, Minnie B. Lee of Greenville, and Carolyn P. Lee-Ugwo of Greenville; one son, Harvey Lee, Jr. of Greenville; two sisters, Willie (David) Scott of San Antonio, TX and Floree (Earl) Crowder of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Austin Rollinson, Jr. of Eberton, GA; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
