Mrs. Sarah Ella Hailstock Byrd, 94, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at her residence. Born in Newberry County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Rossie Leroy and Elverta Grigsby Hailstock. She was the widow of Daniel Byrd, Jr.

Those left to cherish many fond memories include one son, Rev. Ralph Donnie (Kristi) Byrd, Sr., of Greenwood, SC; two daughters, Gloria (Sam) Belcher of Simpsonville, SC and Ann Chapman of Greenville, SC; extended family, Rev. Carlton (Pam) Austin, of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Mary Alyce Hailstock and Elverta Hailstock, both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Billy Ray (Anne) Hailstock of Greenville, SC; sixteen grandchildren, Kardrekus (Aimee) Byrd, Kios (LaKisha) Perrin, Nigel (Andrea) Byrd, Ralph Donnie (Tiffany) Byrd, Jr., Tyson Byrd (Kayla Adams), Donnieka (Stepfone) McCall, Radonya (Jehmar) Smalls, Quentin Belcher, CoCo (Josh) Carter, Christopher Belcher, Carlton Baker, Xavier (Raven) Jones, Joshua Smith, Joshua Jenkins, Issachar Byrd and Sarai Gwen Byrd; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 7, 2022, 12:00noon at St. Vaughnville Baptist Church with interment in church cemetery.
