Mrs. Sarah Wakefield Kennedy, 88, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at home. She was a daughter of the late Doc Wakefield and Rosa Curry Wakefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Douglas Kennedy; daughter, Bernice Kennedy; brothers, June Wakefield, Lawrence Snipes and David Wakefield; and a nephew, Robert Wakefield.
She was a member of the Greenville Memorial Senior Care Pace Center.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are four daughters, Margaret Kennedy and Cindy Kennedy, both of Greenville, Rosa Mae Byrd of Simpsonville, and Rosetta Wakefield of Fountain Inn; one son, William Kennedy of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Travis O., travis I, Tarus O, Jimmy, Tameka, Mariah, Courtney and Sharonda; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
