Sgt. First Class Christopher Williams was born October 1, 1986, to Mr. James L. Williams (Frankie) and the late Ms. Anntonet McGreer-Williams.
SFC Williams graduated from Southside High School in 2005. While in high school, he played football and wrestled. SFC Williams loved cooking, spending time with his eight children, and visiting friends and family members. SFC Williams loved being a father to his children, having fun, and being a comforter to anyone who needs help. SFC. Williams was an Active-duty Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the Army, and he served his country for 15 years. SFC Williams was deployed five times, which includes a combat deployment in Iraq, Kuwait, and Korea.
SFC Williams received several awards which include two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, five Army Good Conduct Medals, one National Defense Service Medal, one Iraq Campaign Medal- Campaign Star, a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Korea Defense Service Medal, and a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
SFC Williams received his associate's degree in Business Administration and was pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Surviving: one brother, SSG. Davokious Williams of Killeen, TX; two sisters, Ms. Nicole McGreer, and Mrs. Lan’a (Marq) McGowan both of Greenville, SC; eight children, whose names are not mentioned due to their ages; four uncles, Gerald Tyrone (Mary) McGreer of Greenville, SC, Monroe Dawson of Greenville, SC, Melvin (Margaret) Dirton of High Point, NC, and Ronnie Williams of McCormick, SC; two aunts, Jacqueline Rabb and Chris Belcher Robinson, both of Greenville, SC; four nieces; one nephew; a host of other relatives, and friends.
