Mr. Sharma Wakefield, 43, of Mauldin, South Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Maxi Devlin, and the late Mary Elizabeth Wakefield.
Sharma was a family-oriented person, and his friends and family were never far from his thoughts. He was blessed with the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life and he loved to make people laugh. A natural comedian to his friends and family. he also loved to draw. His smile was contagious. Sharma was a continual source of inspiration for many.
Sharma leaves fond memories in the hearts of his siblings; four sisters, Ayeshe M. Irby of Hyattsville, MD, Ayana C. Irby of Simpsonville, SC, Ayushea A. Wakefield of Mauldin, SC and Tina M. Delvin of Greenville, NC; three brothers, Sharmada S. Clinkscales of Simpsonville, SC, Patrick J. Devlin of Taylors, SC and Derrick Posley of Greenville, SC; a special friend, Kristen Boyce; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Monday, June 19, 2023, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
