Shirley Griffin

Mrs. Shirley Mae Griffin, 84, of 1216 Buncombe Road, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Conestee, she was the daughter of the late Cliffton and Rebecca Williams Pickett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Griffin and sons, Gerald Shumate and Maxie Griffin, Jr.

She is survived by daughters, Sandra Lynn Griffin of Greenville and Shirley E. (Marrion) Collins of Douglasville, GA; sons, Willie Ray (JoAnn) Griffin of California and Jonnie V. (Veverly) Griffin of Greenville; adopted daughters, Zandra Neal and Octavia Lewis; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 6, 2015, 4:30 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
