Simon McClain

Mr. Simon McClain, Jr., 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Simon , Sr., and Vernie Rue Daniels McClain. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Marilyn McClain and the late Johnny McClain.

Surviving: three daughters, Karen Nettles of Florence, SC, Rene McClain and Dreka McClain Thomas, both of Greenville, SC; one son, Simon McClain, III. of the home; three sisters, Valarie McClain of Florence, SC, Joannie (Adrian) Boston of Columbia, SC and Aliecia (Willie) Thompson of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Michael McClain and Alvin McClain, both of Florence, SC; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Thursday, October 7, 2021, 12:00noon, New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
