Steve Young

Mr. Steve Lee Young was born on February 2, 1963, in Greenville, South Carolina. He was called home on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was a son of Bobbie Jean Golden Young and the late Deacon Bobby Joe Young.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moses and Lenise Young and John and Clara Dogan Golden and his grandson, Brayden Chase McDowell.

At an early age, he joined Fairforest Baptist Church in Greenville. He was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family.

Steve leaves to cherish many fond memories his mother; his children, LaTallya (Chris) McDowell of Fountain Inn, Katrina Young of Greenville, Marquis Henry of Fountain Inn and Shamika Young of Piedmont; five grandchildren, Jaylon Tolbert, Krystin McDowell, Caitlyn McDowell, Kaylee Thompson and Manika Oneal; sisters, Robin Ann Young of Greenville and Lavet (Cleve) Pilot of Columbia; brothers, Tony Lee Young of Greenville and Michael Young of Piedmont; a devoted friend, Sherry Kelly of Fountain Inn and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
