Steven Richardson

Mr. Steven Louis “Peter” Richardson, 59, of Easley, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born in Due West, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Dorothy Louise Richardson.

“Peter” was a 1976 graduate of Dixie High School in Due West and attended Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

He was formerly employed by the Greenville County School District, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as an aircraft mechanic and Ashmore Brothers, Inc., and was owner and operator of Steve’s Cleanup Shop.

He was a member of the Easley Union Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully, as a member of the Brotherhood Board, Male Chorus and the Voices of Union Choir. He was also a member of the Progressive Masonic Lodge #424, a Prince Hall Affiliate.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Valerie Lynette Richardson.

Left to cherish many fond memories are his wife, Geraldine “Gerri” Simpson Richardson of the home; daughters, Lawanda (Bruce) Bolden of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tracy Mattison of Greenville, South Carolina and Adrian Enwright of Greenwood, South Carolina; sisters, Stephanie Gordon of Honea Path, South Carolina and Monica (Ken) Storey of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Aubree Richardson of Greenville, Eddie Richardson of Due West, and Reagan (Gwendolyn) Fair of Greenville; three grand-children, Austin Mattison, LaMonte Sanders, and Jarvisia Gilleva; sisters-in-law, Melinda Anderson and Sara Collins; brothers-in-law, Leroy (Mary) Simpson and Clarence Simpson and a host of other relatives and friends.
