Mr. Sylvester Jackson, 92, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was a son of the late Primus Jackson I and Mary Etta Sitton Jackson Anderson.
He is survived by two daughters - Sharon Jackson and Darlene Jackson-Jones (Timothy); his daughter-in-law Marilyn Jackson; four sisters – Arbutis Davis, Odena Rosemond, Jeanette Williams (Woodrow) of Easley, SC, and Etta Lee of Bronx, NY; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Jones of Dover, DE, and Tony Jones of New York, NY; one sister in-law - Elizabeth Grice of New York, NY; six grandchildren – Noah Jackson, Maya Humphrey, Miles Goodloe, Jolieba Blount, Isaiah Jones, and Justin Jones; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and devoted relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jones-Jackson: his son, Sylvester Jackson, Jr.; eight siblings - Walter Jackson, Madison Jackson, Raymond Jackson, Sr., Primus Jackson II, James C. Jackson I, Webster Jackson, Connell Jackson, and Eloise Owens.
Funeral Services: Saturday, February 10, 2024, 11:00 am at Fairfield United Methodist Church, Piedmont, SC 29673 with interment in the church cemetery.
