Tamara Mitchell Ford

Mrs. Tamara Joanne "Dumplings" Mitchell Ford, 51, passed on Wednesday, November 24, 2015, at Greenville Health System.

Tamara was educated in the public schools of Greenville County. She graduated from Greenville High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts from Fisk University and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina. She was the youngest Trustee to serve on the Greenville County School Board. Tamara performed legal research for her father

She is survived by her father, former South Carolina State Senator Theo W. Mitchell; children, Victoria Newton Ford, Ivana Nicole Ford, Theo Walker Mitchell Ford and John Newton Ford, Jr.; sisters, Megan Mitchell (Robert) Hoefer and Emily Mitchell Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
