Terry Hood

Indianapolis, IN.

Mr. Terry Hood, 67, was a former native of Greenville, South Carolina. He later relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, Terry was the sixth child, born to the late Kenneth F. and Carrie S. Hood. On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, Terry departed this life in the St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis, IN.

He was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN.
Terry attended the Greenville County Schools and graduated from Woodmont High School in Piedmont, SC. He was a former employee of Greenville Hospital System prior to relocating to Indianapolis.
After relocating to Indianapolis, he was employed with Goodwill Industries of Indiana for over 5 years and the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired for over 14 years until he became ill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Hood, Jr. and Jurrall “Roy” Hood.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his wife, Brenda Hood; one daughter Nicole Hood of Piedmont, SC; six sisters, Ernestine Leamon of Greenville, SC, Cardury Blackwell of Seattle, WA, Frances (Rev. William) Henderson of Piedmont, SC, Towanda Bowens of Greenville, SC, Kelly (Leroy) Stoddard of Fountain Inn, SC and Vanessa (Dale) Robinson of Simpsonville, SC ; two brothers, Clayton Hood of Texas and Lavaughn (Melissa) Hood of Piedmont, SC; a devoted aunt and caretaker, Emma Sullivan of Indianapolis, In ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday, June 10, 2023, 10:00am, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
