Tessie Simpson

Mrs. Tessie White Simpson was born on August 11, 1949, in Greenville, South Carolina, and departed this life Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was the wife of Mr. Darrell Simpson, and a daughter of the late Willie and Louise White.

She was employed with the Greenville County School District until her retirement. Her love for children continued, and was shown as she devoted her time to the children of Nicholtown Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Nicholtown Presbyterian Women’s group. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly, loved forever and always remembered for her beautiful smile.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, her loving and devoted husband of forty-five years, Mr. Darrell Simpson; son, DJ (Diana) Simpson; two daughters, Andreana (Jerome) Martin and Tracie (Vladimir) Chery; one brother, Richard (Gwen) White; two sisters, Sue White and Rev. Jackie Miller; eight grandchildren, Layondrea Simpson, Breylen Simpson, Kianna Goldsmith, Kortney Goldsmith, Christian Martin, Kendall Chery, Dimir Chery and Brooklyn Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins, other relatives and friends.
