Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Grooms, 58, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at his residence. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was a son of Beatrice Wiggins Grooms and the late Thomas Massic Grooms.
Mr. Grooms was married to Aretha Koonce Grooms for 32 years.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Desiree Grooms of Greenville, SC; one son, James Grooms of Mauldin, SC; two sisters, Serena Grooms of Boston, MA and Phyllis (Mark) Miller of Greer, SC; one brother, Darryn (Mary) Grooms of Boston, MA; one grandson, Noah Grooms; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, January 22, 2023, 1:00pm, at Queen Street Baptist Church, with interment private.
