Mr. Thomas Kelley, 77, of Mauldin, South Carolina departed this earthly life on Friday, December 1, 2018. Mr. Kelley was born September 19, 1941, the eldest son of the late Mr. Herbert Lee Kelley and Mrs. Ruby Madison Kelley.
Tom, affectionately known as “TK”, was a graduate of Sterling High School, Class of 1959, After which he served in the United States Army from 1959-1961 and was honorably discharged after three years of service. Professionally, he worked at General Electric (GE) as a machinist for over 25 years until his retirement.
On August 20, 1968, Tom married the true love of his life, Mrs. Freddie Hall Kelley. They were married for 50 years this year. To this union, two daughters were born.
Along with his wife, Tom “TK” leaves to cherish fond memories: two daughters, Kenyetta Nicole (Travis) Smith of Simpsonville, SC and Shana LaVetta Kelley of Greenville, SC; brothers, Harold Kelley of Greenville, South Carolina and Calvin (Joaquina) Kelley, Sr., of Simpsonville, SC; sisters, Delores Keene of Mauldin, SC, Marian Kelley of Greenville, SC, and Deborah (Maxie) Devlin of Taylors, SC; grandchildren, Amari Boyd of Florence, SC, Ashton Boyd and Kennedi Boyd of Greenville, SC, Nia Smith, Jada Smith, Sean Smith, and Justin Smith, all of Simpsonville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other family, and friends.
