Thomas Sherrard

Mr. Thomas Odell Sherrard, 67, son of the late Hugh Sherrard and Lura Mae Thompson Sherrard was born on November 23, 1950, in Greenville, South Carolina and departed this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.

He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was active in the Ushers Ministry until his health began to decline. He previously attended the former St. John United Methodist Church in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, where he also served as an usher .

He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School and attended Greenville Technical College.

Odell was a former employee of BMW for over ten years and worked for over twenty years in the hotel industry with Hilton and Hyatt Regency Hotels.

He leaves to cherish many loving memories: two daughters, Keiano (John) Aiken of Charlotte, NC and Shonte N. Harrison of Greenville; two sons, Tavis Sherrard and Yasmone Sherrard, both of Greenville; two sisters, Barbara Sherrard and Eva Butler, both of Greenville; six grandchildren; one aunt, Tinnie Barton of Atlanta, GA; one niece; one nephew; a devoted friend, Alice Arnold; his friends for over thirty years, Harold “Sonny” and Elaine Wofford and Steven Bonner; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
