Mr. Tommy Ricardo “Red Dog” Burgess, 51, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at home. Born in Chicago, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Corrine Collins Burgess. He was preceded in death by his brother, Juan Burgess.

Surviving: daughters, Kendra Burgess and Sierra Austin, both of Pickens; sons, Joshua (Earlana) Burgess and Dante’ Burgess, both of Greenville; stepdaughter, Ashley (Chamar) Jenkins of Greenville; stepsons, Tommie (Brittney) Sanders and Courtney (Annette) Clark, both of Greenville; sisters, Caryn Burgess of Columbia, Giovanna (Jerome) Geathers of Simpsonville, and Tonya Burgess of Easley; brothers, William Burgess of Connecticut and Stephen Burgess of Easley; six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
