Vannoy Thompson

December 26, 1953 — August 21, 2015

Mr. Vannoy Russell Thompson, beloved son, brother and uncle, relinquished this life, on Friday, August 21, 2015, after a very long battle to kidney and liver disease. Vannoy resided at the Greenville Summit Apartments. He passed away at Patewood Rehab and Nursing Center. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Ella B. Durham King and the late Sullivan L. Thompson.

Surviving, in addition to his mother: sisters, Wanda Thompson of Mauldin, Clarett Harrison of Maryland, and Danita Albert of New York; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Monday, August 31, 2015, 2:00 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Friends and Family are invited to go directly to the home of his sister, Wanda Thompson and mother, Ella Durham Thompson King at 1324 Alexandrite Lane, Mauldin 29662, immediately following the burial.
