Veda Holmes

Mrs. Veda Mae Holmes, 78, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at McCall Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late James Hall and Lillie Mae Paden McCullough.

She was a graduate of Sterling High School and was employed at Stone Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of Young Laymen Temple CME Church, where she was a member of the Choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Emanuel Holmes, and a son, Michael Holmes.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are three daughters, Charlotte Holmes, Katrina Holmes and Denise Dendy, all of Greenville, SC; two sons,Ernest Holmes and Jeffrey Holmes; one brother, Willie Charles McCullough (Sonya) of Columbia, SC; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
