Mrs. Virginia Mae “Ginnie Mae” Webb, 84, of Mauldin, South Carolina, departed this life to go to her Heavenly home on Friday, May 12, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown. Born in Anderson County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Elque Williams and Onnie Mae Ferguson Williams.
Mrs. Webb was a retiree of General Electric Company. She was a member of Laurel Creek United Methodist Church. She was a former musician, youth choir director, church administrator, member of the United Methodist Women and other church and community organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, John Wesley Webb, Sr. and two brothers, Elque Williams, Jr. and Larkin Williams.
Left to cherish many fond memories are her daughters, Melva (Walter) Akins of Simpsonville, SC and Sandra (William) Oliver of Chesapeake, VA; sons, John W. Webb, Jr., of Simpsonville, SC, Rev. David L. (Jeannette) Webb of Greenville, SC, Walter T. Webb of Fountain Inn, SC, Gary V. Webb of Brooklyn, NY, and Michael A. Webb of Mauldin, SC; sisters, Nancy (MacArthur) Johnson and Helen Williams, both of Greenville, SC; brother, Willie Williams of Greenville, SC; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Williams; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a host of great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
