Mr. Walter Lee Blassingame, 88, of Easley, South Carolina, passed on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at NHC of Laurens. Born in Anderson County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Luther and Annie Mae Acker Blassingame.
He was married 55 years to the late Dorothy Elizabeth Hagood Blassingame.
Surviving: three daughters, Whatinia (Rev. Keith) Mack of Orangeburg, SC, Wendy Johnson of Anderson, SC, and Brenda (Deacon Paul Joseph) Ashmore of Greenville, SC; one son, Walt (Brandy) Blassingame, Jr. of Easley, SC; two sisters, Lily McDonald of Gray Court, SC and Zomena (Robert) Scott of Greenville, SC; twelve grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 1:00pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment in New Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Easley, SC.
