Mr. Wardell Owens, Jr., 70, of Piedmont, South Carolina, passed away, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence. He was a son of Rev. Estell Henderson Owens and the late Wardell Owens, Sr.
Mr. Owens was the husband to Barbara Wilson Owens for 51 years.
In addition to his mother and his wife, he is survived by four children, Steven (Jessica) Owens of Piedmont, SC, Tanya Owens Williams of Fort Mill, SC, Alicia (Russell) Blackwell of Simpsonville, SC and Jeremy Owens of Piedmont, SC; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six siblings, Vivian (Ernest) Grayden, Harvey (Kay) Owens, Tibitha Henry, Goraline Henry, Sacajawea (Howard) Blassingame and Gerald Owens; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, July 1, 2023, 11:00am at Sweet Canaan Baptist Church with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
