On June 24, 2019, William Calvin Bowens, passed away. On Monday, June 24, 2019. He entered this life on June 26, 1948, in Pickens County, South Carolina, a son of the late Calvin Odell Bowens and Letha Mae Rosemond Bowens.
He enjoyed his retirement after a lengthy career in the manufacturing industry. His passions were gardening and spending quality time with his family. You could often find him rooting for the Atlanta Falcons or Clemson University teams.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Bowens.
Left to cherish many fond memories are his wife, Karen Beeks Bowens of Greenville; two daughters, Annette Gordon of Detroit, MI, and Washica Rhodes of Easley; two stepdaughters, Shannetra Owens of Mauldin, and Quiona Bowens of Greenville; three sons, Perry (Ivette) Bowens and William Bowens, Jr., both of Greenville, and Antonio Rhodes of Easley; one stepson, Terrance Bowens of Chicago, IL; four sisters, Emily B. (Willie) Sullivan of Greenville, Amy (Tommy) Preston and Gladys Gillespie, both of Easley, and Jocelyn Allgood of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Leroy Bowens of Greenville; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty great-grand-children; his ex-wife, Dorothy Heyward Bowens of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
