William Hallums

November 29, 1927 — July 9, 2017

Mr. William Chester “Hoss” Hallums, 89, a son of the late Thomas and Maggie Johnson Hallums, departed this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Father on July 9, 2017.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and formerly worked at Saco-Lowell, Ace Hardware and Mayfair Mill. He was a member of Easley Union Missionary Baptist Church.

William was known to many as “Hoss Johnson”. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Scuddy and Joe Hallums and one sister, Jane Davis.

He leaves to cherish many memories his daughter, Pamela (Willie) Fuller of Easley; two sons, Curtis Bowens and Roger Bowens, both of Easley; a sister, Harriett Starks of Easley; two grandsons who were very active in assisting in his care, Jason and Jeremy Fuller; several other grand-children will also miss him; one aunt, Pearl Johnson of South Boston, VA; one goddaughter, Connie Rhome of Easley; two sisters-in-law, Jane Hallums of Greenville and Mary L. Hallums of Alexandria, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
