. William Furman “Pop” Morgan, 84, departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was a son of the late Erastus Othaniel Morgan and Clara Galloway Morgan.
“Pop” was a 1954 graduate of Simpson High School. He worked for the former Greenville General Hospital that later became Greenville Hospital and now is Greenville Health System . He also worked for Easley Baptist Hospital for several years. He was a member of the Church of God International. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Wilhelmina West and Thelma Robinson and a brother, Northern Morgan.
Treasured memories will be remembered by his loving wife, Mrs. Frances Liddell Morgan of Easley, SC; daughters, Kay M. Williams and Michelle Morgan, both of Easley, SC, and Tangela (Jorge) Ibarra of Simpsonville, SC; sons, William A. (Vira) Morgan and Kevin Morgan, both of Easley, SC, and Brian (Tonya) Anderson of Woodruff, SC; goddaughter, Beatrice Austin of Easley, SC; sisters, Ruby Looper of Columbia, SC, and Helen Walker of Cleveland, OH; brother, Frederick (Melvin) Morgan of Ft. Meyers, FL; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
