Mr. William Larry Pickens Sr., 68, of 8 Cotton Street, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at home. Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Z. V. and Brucie Blassingame Pickens.
He is survived by daughters, Lillian E. Blandin of Greenville and Kayla Thompson of Simpsonville; sons, James Thompson of Greenville, Eric Burts of Greenville, and William R. Arter of Duncan; sisters, Dorothy Pickens Ware of Easley, Clara (John) Pickens Kirksey of Easley, and Jacqueline (James) Pickens Westbrook of Palmsdale, CA; brother, Jerry (Eleanor) Pickens of Easley; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
