Mr. Willie James Carter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born February 1, 1958, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late John Willie and Elizabeth Croft Carter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joylyn Elizabeth Carter; and a sister, Rev. Jennie “Mae” Daniels.

Willie attended Greenville Senior High School. He was well known around the Greenville area and was known as “Big Will”.

He leaves to cherish many loving and fond memories, three sons, Antonio Jones of Easley, SC, Willie Poole and Joshua (Coco) Carter, both of Greenville; three daughters, Courtney Carter (Jason) Brockman and Angel Carter, both of Greenville and Tiffany Ferguson of Easley; two sisters, Queen Elizabeth Black of Greenville and Ellen Carter Mangle of Piedmont; ten grandchildren, Jahsun Jones, Aundrey Crossman, Jaquavious Carter, Jamariun Carter-Brockman, Ashton Swinger, Madison Swinger, Joshua Carter, Jr., Kenyon Carter, Emery Carter and August Carter; one great-grandchild, Kameron Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
