Mr. Willie Earl Fuller, son of the late Martha Henderson and husband of Annie L. Mackey Fuller, departed this life on October 28, 2018.
He is survived by one daughter, Wilynda Fuller of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Robert Fuller of Norfolk, VA; Roland Fuller of Colemon, FL; and Ryan Fuller of Alexandria, VA; one sister, Vergree Hill of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Willie was a workaholic and loved landscaping. He enjoyed planting beautiful things like flowers, trees, and shrubbery. As a young man, he liked car racing and muscle cars. He eagerly helped those in need; he was highly respected and loved by those who knew him.
Willie was a real man who never shirked from his responsibility. He was the best provider for his family; he worked three or more jobs at a time, ensuring that his family wanted for nothing. He was never dunned; he believed in paying his bills on time. He was self-employed as a landscaper and custodian. Willie had many trades, around the house; a jack of all trades - maintaining appliances, plumbing, electrical, and cars. He received recognition from the Greenville Piedmont newspaper for his excellent customer service while working at Ridgeway Shell. He was a maintenance supervisor for J.E. Sirrine for over twenty years, and maintained the upkeep of Leslie Advertising for more than fifteen years.
In 1972, the I-85 Church of Christ was erected largely because of his monetary contributions and labor of love. Willie did not have a degree in architecture, but he artfully planned and designed the Church. He was a great landscaper as evidenced by the park at I-85 Church of Christ. He was church treasurer at I-85 Church of Christ for over fifteen years.
Willie Fuller was loved and will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. The world has lost a great man and a beautiful soul.
