Willie Rice

Mr. Willie F. “Rabbit” Rice, Sr., 64, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at St. Francis Downtown. He was a son of the late Robert Williams and Reesie Hampton Blassingame.

He was educated in the Greenville County School System and was employed by the school system in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Clark Rice; two brothers, Roy Eddie Moss and Arthur Lee Rice; and two sisters, Cathy Chapman and Patricia Chapman.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his stepfather, William “June” Blassingame of Greenville; ex-wife, Doris Ivery Rice of Greenville and from this union, a loving daughter, Dr. Diane Rice of Lawrenceville, GA; a loving son, Willie Frank (Catina) Rice Jr., of Greenville, SC; two grandsons, Franklin Rice and Caleb Rice; also left with treasured memories are two sisters, Ella Robinson of Pelzer, and Barbara Jaby of Piedmont; two brothers, Bobby Williams of Greenville, and Melvin Rice of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends
