Wymona Dean

Mrs. Wymona “Beyant” Pickens Dean, 79, of Easley, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Baptist Easley Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Oliver and Marie Brazile Pickens.

Mrs. Dean worked as a spinner at Alice Manufacturing Company for twenty-seven years. She became a member of the Fairfield united Methodist Church at an early age, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Oliver Pickens, Jr., Willie Pickens, Sr. and James Pickens; a sister-in-law, Betty Dale Pickens; a nephew, O’Neal Smith, Jr.; and a niece, Belvea Pickens.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Dean of Piedmont and Christopher Pickens of Easley; one sister, Mary Smith of Easley; one brother, Wade (Jennett) Pickens of Greenville; a nephew, Derrick Smith of Easley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
